What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is a special type of dermal filler with a unique mode of action. It contains calcium-based microspheres (CaHA) in a special gel matrix, which are naturally broken down by the body over the course of time. This unique composition, has three effects to help the skin regain youthful tightness and elasticity: wrinkle filling, volume lifting and skin rejuvenation. Think of it as a wrinkle filler and collagen stimulator in one, with lasting results.
Following treatment, you will notice an immediate lifting and tightening effect with visible rejuvenation. Because Radiesse® also acts as a collagen stimulator, results are progressive and long lasting. But why these Hybrid fillers are becoming more and more popular, is that they last longer than regular Fillers. Regular fillers just dissolve eventually as our bodies metabolise the Hyaluronic acid content. Hybrid Fillers actually stimulate new collagen formation so give longer lasting results.
What to expect
Results last for 12-18 months although this is dependent on lifestyle.
The procedure is carried out using a cannula and involves minimal downtime. A little swelling is expected immediately after, and full results are noted 8-12 weeks after treatment.
