Profhilo® acts differently to traditional fillers, although both are injectable hyaluronic acid-based gels. What sets Profhilo® apart from other fillers is the high concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA) comparatively, which changes the way that it works. Profhilo® is injected under the surface of the skin, so it doesn’t change facial volume or structure, and importantly, it adds HA directly to the skin which stimulates natural elastin and collagen production.

While both elastin and collagen are of course excellent for overall skin health, what makes Profhilo® treatment more effective is the way that it works; Profhilo® absorbs water and expands to smooth out lines on the skin in a seamless way. Think of it as an ‘injectable moisturiser’. Because of this, Profhilo® can be used on almost every part of the body, from face and neck to the hands, knees, and elbows. Wherever you have wrinkles, Profhilo® treatment can work to reverse them.

Treatment is a two-part process, though depending on skin quality and necessity, this may become a three-part treatment. The sessions are carried out four weeks apart, and results will start to show four weeks after the final session.
